Review: Wet n Wild's Megalast Liquid Lip Color

Hello beautiful! Today's review will be on Wet n Wild's Megalast Liquid Lip Color.

Brand: Wet n Wild
Product: Liquid Lip Color
Color: Cherry on Top
Price: $2.99

The applicator is not doe-shaped and is very flexible, which for me makes application difficult. It also tends to leave too much product on the brush which leads to the lip color being gooey on the lips.

This product also has a very chemical-like plastic smell so if that's not your thing, stay clear.

As you can see, it left a stain on my arm (that lasted all day).

Application is difficult. It can lead to an uneven look on both the outline of your lips and with the lip color itself, where it looks thin some areas and gooey other areas.

You have to be very careful when putting this lip color on, yet you have to be fast enough as to not goop up the product on your lips either.

To let this dry, you should to keep your lips separated for at least ten to twenty minutes. Or else the product goops up.

And when I say this product is long-lasting on the lips, it is LONG-lasting. And it's super difficult to take off your lips; the process is painful and drying to your lips.

Thumbs up:
• long-lasting (ALL day wear)
• great color pay-off
• no transfer

Thumbs down:
• SUPER difficult to take off
• very drying
• takes a while to dry
• can get gooey

Overall, this is not for everyone. If you're okay with your lips feeling dry, don't mind taking your time to really perfect your lips, and don't mind it going goopy on you for the pay-off of an extremely long-wear, then this might be a good product for you for the price.

Review: Profusion's Mascara

Hello beautiful! I'm going to review Profusion's Mascara!

Walgreens had this mascara on sale for $2 so I figured, why not try it?! This was definitely not the only mascara they had, but I like myself a good bargain and I also like makeup so wham-o there's a great deal! Plus, it's cruelty-free!

(I've looked and cannot find the regular price. Sorry.)

The wand is huge and fluffy-like; its bristles are evenly spread out. This alludes to big, voluminous lashes that are separated.

The mascara states that it gives you both length and volume and is long-lasting. So let's see how that holds up:

Here's just my normal eyelashes, which, to make this review fair, I have to say have been blessed to be relatively long. Do with that what you will.

Normal eyelashes.

One coat.

Two coats.

I applied one coat and the effect was lovely. I didn't know what I was expecting with this brand since I've never used it and barely heard of it before, but I'm impressed.

Thumbs up:
• it's cruelty-free
• it's true to its claims
   – volumizes
   – lengthens
   – long-lasting

Thumbs down:
• does not seem to come in a waterproof version

Overall - I really like this mascara. It isn't my holy grail mascara as I haven't really found one (yet).

Review: Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer

Hello beautiful! Today I'll be reviewing the Nyx HD Photogenic Concealer. I use it for covering up my DARK circles; also on my fresh and healing blemishes.

Brand: Nyx
Product: Concealer
Color: Porcelain
Price: $4.99 at Ulta

Left: Swatch, Right: Swatch Blended

It's creamy when first applying, when blending it is smooth and leaves a flawless finish, where you can hardly tell there's concealer there at all.

Under eyes before applying.

Under eyes after one coat.

Under eyes after two coats.

Personally, I'm fine with just one coat and with my glasses,
there's a flawless finish. All I do is finish with a powder.

The only downside I have with this concealer (and concealers in general) is that, because I wear glasses and I have such oily skin, it rubs off onto the bridge of my glasses. But that's easily cleaned off with a swipe of the finger.

Overall I am in love with this product and definitely recommend anyone to at least try it.

Review: E.L.F. Blush in Pink Passion

Hello beautiful! Today I'm going to review the blush I've been using for around a month now, and I've been loving it!

Brand: E.L.F. (Eyes Lips Face)
Product: Blush
Color: Pink Passion
Price: $2.99 at my Target

Elf's Studio Blush in Pink Passion is just that - passionate about pink. It's a bright, almost fluorescent pink that when blended is smoothed out to a true 'blushing pink.' You can add more color as you like. (I prefer it light and very natural.) The product is easy to apply, although in my experience a little tough to equal the color to the other cheek.

As you maybe can tell, there is also quite a bit of fallout on the actual product itself; if isn't an issue for me since there's no fallout on the actual cheek.

MAC Russian Red Matte Lipstick Review

Hello beautiful! I decided to do a first-impression/review on MAC's Russian Red lipstick. I've never had a MAC product before and I just bought Russian Red offline so... Here's the review!

Brand: MAC
Product: Matte Lipstick
Color: Russian Red
Price: roughly $15

The color is a deep red, a true classic if you don't want it too bright and orange-based (when you're a pale one like me) or too dark and vampy. This is a neutral red that would suit pretty much all skin tones. Russian Red is slightly more on the blue-based side.

(Lipstick under my closet light.)

(Lipstick under sunshine.)

The product went on my lips very smoothly and is very creamy. If you want a flawless, no-mess red lip use a lip liner first to outline your lips and keep them in place.

Even though this product is listed as matte, I would say it definitely has a slight 'shine' to it, as you can see in the sunlight.

The lipstick is most definitely not drying to my lips.
